VIVID 2013

Hey guys,

So yeah it has been a while since my last post but I’m back!
Anyways it’s late and don’t really have much to say so I am going to let the shots do the talking for me. If you are around Sydney city I thoroughly recommend checking out vivid, I think I might have to go back for a second viewing!

Enjoy and I’ll be back with another post soon!

Windy Bridge-Top Vividtimes

Recently I got the opportunity to walk up the top of the Harbour Bridge to view the lighting of Vivid Festival. This was a pretty awesome experience as its usually damn pricey and so although the winds were strong (60-70kmph) and it was cold (10 DegreesC) it was well worth it and definitely something to cross off the bucket list.
Photos were a bit of a struggle as it was pretty dark and hard to hold still when your camera becomes a sail, but with a bit of Photoshop magic I managed to clean them up. It was really beautiful up there and an amazing feat of engineering, so if you’re ever surprisingly rich and want something different to do I would highly recommend it.

A new Music blog post will be round soon as i have discovered a whole bunch of my Favourite artists have released new albums without informing me. But until then here’s something to listen to that i love.

Doing the Time Warp….again…

Seems like i have been stuck in the past this week, and loving it.

Earlier in the year i went to an event at the Australian Museum called the “Jurassic Lounge” This is where the museum opens its doors to the nightlifers, the event was so popular that not even 6 months later, it re-opened!
With drinks, shows, exhibits, silent discos, bands and show and tell (i got to hold some awesome stick insects, see Ing’s blog for pics.)

It was an amazing night of disguised educational frivolity and I recommend all you Sydneysiders grab this chance to experience something amazing and go visit.

I also took a Trip to my good Friend Sarah’s House with Ing to do a bit of Model Photography. All Vintaged up in 60’s Mod/Schoolgirl/Madeline attire Sarah made for a perfect model and if it weren’t for the fact that i didn’t really want to make this blog Sarahladen i would have posted much more. However expect more shots shoots with her soon and i’ll also add some more pics to my Facebook account in a day or so.

VIVID Festival 2011

Every Year Sydney lights up with 45 or so Light Installations around and about. The weather was horrible and rainy but we trekked in anyways and it was well worth it, i think the festival is still running for Sydneysiders, so head in some night, bring a camera or just soak in the niceness, you can find details at http://vividsydney.com/light

Balmain and Rain

So i took a trip out to Balmain, one of my favorite suburbs, not just because of its water views but mostly because of Adriano Zumbo’s and his Delicious Macarons! I will warn you there is a lot of Harbour Bridge shots.. this made me feel very much like a tourist…

Vintage Times at Garden Music

I recently attended a Garden Music Festival held at Governors House in the Botanical Gardens, Sydney. It was amazing, like being transported back in time, badminton, croquet, a guy on a gramophone and a whole lot of really cool bands. It also gave me the chance to have a go at some band photography, something i am usually too scared to do… so heres the results, carefully (hahaha yeah right) played around with to give it a special vintage vibe… all kinds of vintage that is.
